Visit conditions
The Sainte-Chapelle is located within the grounds of the Palace of Justice, so access is special.
- Have you booked a visit or a workshop? Don't queue in the queue, but go to the "group" sign on the boulevard, then report to a member of staff. Once in the lower chapel, go to the group meeting point.
- Pushchairs are not allowed in the monument, but :
For folding pushchairs: you can enter via the usual public entrance. Once in the lower chapel, you can leave your pushchair with a member of staff.
For pushchairs that cannot be folded: except on Sundays and public holidays (please refer to the same instructions as for foldable pushchairs), go to a police officer directly at 6 boulevard du palais (large entrance gate to the Palais de Justice). Once in the lower chapel, you can leave your pushchair with an officer.
- Scooters are not permitted.
- The Sainte-Chapelle is not heated in winter, so remember to wrap up warm!
- Toilets are available in the courthouse. The nearest ones are accessible via the main courtyard once you have exited the security checkpoint before entering the monument; signs indicate their access.
Conditions of free access
Except for guided tours and workshops, entry is free for under-18s, so make the most of it!
