A visit to the Sainte-Chapelle can be particularly strenuous in hot weather, especially for the elderly, frail or those with health problems.
Please note: after passing through the security checkpoint, no access to water or toilets is available at weekends or on public holidays.A drinking fountain is available on the pavement opposite. Please make arrangements in advance of your visit.
For your safety:
- Preferably visit before midday, when the weather is milder;
- Drink water regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty;
- Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a hat, sunglasses and light, covering clothing;
- Use a spray bottle or wet your skin to keep cool;
- Take breaks in theshade as soon as possible;
- Watch out for any signs of discomfort (tiredness, headaches, dizziness).
We do not have air-conditioned areas or places to cool down. We particularly urge vulnerable people to take extra care and, if necessary, to postpone their visit.
Protect yourself and look after the most vulnerable.
