Here you will find all the practical information you need to prepare your visit to the Sainte Chapelle.

Please note: last access to the monument 30 minutes before closing time.

Closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December

Wednesday 21 January: exceptionally, the monument will be closed all day.

  • Individual ticket: €22
  • Combined Sainte-Chapelle Conciergerie ticket: €30

Nationals and regular residents (over 4 months) of a European Economic Area country

  • Individual ticket: €16
  • Combined ticket for the Sainte-Chapelle Conciergerie: €23Main reductions
  • Under 18s (excluding groups)
  • 18-25 years (European Union nationals and regular non-European residents in France, excluding groups)
  • Disabled persons and one accompanying adult
  • Jobseekers (proof of employment from PÔLE EMPLOI or an equivalent establishment in a European Union member state, less than 6 months old or showing a period of validity, accompanied by photographic ID).
  • Teachers with a valid French Education Pass
  • The first Sunday in January, February, March, November and December
  • Military personnel, gendarmes and CRS holding a professional card with a "Sentinelle" mission order
  • Members of ICOM and ICOMOS
  • Holders of a Ministry of Culture card and one accompanying person

Services and visiting conditions

The Sainte-Chapelle is part of the Palais de Justice de Paris. The monument is subject to the security and safety rules specific to this site and defined for its protection.

Checks may be carried out in the vicinity of the Palais de Justice, including identity checks by police officers.

For security reasons, the "Palais de Justice" bus stop is sometimes not served by the RATP.

Security checks are stricter at the entrance to the building - please respect the time of your reservation, and allow up to 30 minutes waiting time on busy days.

For your safety, the following are prohibited

  • Motorbike helmets
  • Aerosols
  • Knives, forks and sharp objects
  • Scissors
  • Glass bottles
  • Bulky luggage/bags
  • Scooters, skateboards and rollerblades

Pushchairs must be small and foldable in order to fit into the X-ray detection machines. Pushchairs are not permitted in the upper chapel.

Prohibited items confiscated on entering the monument will not be returned to visitors.
